The bill was sent to Capitol Hill for the mandatory 30 (legislative) day review period. Legislative days include only days which the House and Senate are in session.

March 2, 2010                         
Estimated 30th day of review. This date may change based on Congressional working days. All registrants for Our Time Has Come ceremonies will be sent the name of the officiant for their wedding ceremony. This information is required to apply for a marriage license in Washington, DC.

March 3, 2010                         
GLBT Wedding Services estimates that this will be the first day that same sex couples can apply for marriage licenses in Washington, DC. We recommend applying for your marriage license as soon as same sex marriage is legal. There is a 3 day waiting period for marriage licenses.  You will be able to pick up your license on the 4th day.
